Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to voice my concern regarding the increase of hate speech in the media and to specifically complain about programming on [name of TV station] in the [your community] area.  During the period ______ to ______, I observed what could only be regarded as hate speech to which I want to register a formal objection.  [Explain the specific topic, tone and names of participants of the objectionable show.  Please be as specific as you can].  This type of programming does not serve the public interest and therefore I must insist that you investigate and take action against the broadcaster.

I strongly support the First Amendment in our Constitution that gives us the right to free expression.  However, I do not support the promotion of violence towards any person or group nor one-sided inaccurate rhetoric depicted as news information.  It is time for the FCC to take action against hate speech in media, especially when it comes to the use of the public airwaves.  Broadcasts licenses should not be used to propagate hate speech.  

Please accept this letter as a formal complaint against this entity and add to its file.  When this license is up for renewal I respectfully request that you not re-issue the license.
